Morning Drop-Off:
Kindergartners may be dropped off, along with their older siblings, at either the southwest or southeast drop-off zones.
If you would like your kindergartner to eat breakfast, you or an older sibling will need to walk them to the cafeteria.
Afternoon Pick-Up:
Kindergartners only may be picked up in the southwest pick-up zone.
If your kindergartner is being picked up with an older sibling, they may be picked up together at the southeast pick-up zone.
We can't wait to see all of our kindergartners tomorrow!

Students in the North Shore community that live over 1.5 miles from the school are eligible for bus transportation. These students are assigned to a single BUS STOP location if they are ELIGIBLE.
Parent App: Those who are bus eligible and have opted in to busing (both reg ed and sped) will be receiving an invite to our Stopfinder parent app prior to the start of school that will allow them to see their specific student's bus information and track their child's bus location.
Kindergarten Backpack Tags: Parents of reg ed kindergarten students will want to go online and create a kindergarten backpack tag to help ensure school staff put them on the correct bus in the PM and the driver has them get off at the correct stop. PTA would like to invite kindergarten families to still come and participate in our back-to-school open house. Families can tour the school, purchase school shirts, and join the PTA. Food trucks will also be available.

We are excited to announce the upcoming Springside Elementary School Community Council elections! Our School Community Council plays an important role in supporting our students, families, and school. We are grateful for the parents and guardians who are willing to share their time, ideas, and perspectives to help make Springside an even stronger community. We currently have three open parent/guardian seats on our School Community Council, and we invite interested members of our school community to consider applying.
Important Dates:
August 19: Deadline to submit an application. Applications may be submitted electronically or dropped off at the school.
August 20: Voting for the open council seats will take place electronically.

We are excited to start another amazing school year for your children! Please understand that we are working on registrations and our new Skyward Q program. Please be patient while our amazing secretaries are working hard at fixing the issues. We are looking forward to seeing everyone for our Back to School Night on Monday, August 17th from 4:30-6:00pm.
Important Information for Parents and Guardians
Please refer to the Q website for important links, tutorials, and information about the transition. This website has been updated with new helpful information.
As part of the transition to Skyward Qmlativ (Q), there are two important actions that all parents and guardians will need to complete beginning July 27.
Complete the Annual Student Information Update
Beginning July 27, log in to Skyward Q (Qmlativ) and complete the Annual Student Information Update for each of your students. This action will reactivate their accounts. Please also ensure that emergency contact information is up-to-date.
As part of this process, a parent or guardian must review and approve the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) to allow student access to technology resources. Student accounts, including Chromebook access, will remain inactive until the Annual Student Information Update has been completed and the AUP has been approved.
Update the Skyward Mobile App
If you currently use the Skyward mobile app, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the app on or after July 27. Reinstalling the app will connect it to the new Skyward Q system.

As August approaches, our entire Springside Elementary staff is eagerly preparing to welcome your students back to school.
