Good morning Springside Families,
Alpine School District is currently conducting a boundary study for our area, which may significantly impact student enrollment at Springside Elementary in the coming years. On January 13, 2026, the Alpine School District Board of Education approved a formal study of school boundaries that may impact the following schools beginning in the 2026–2027 school year: Dry Creek Elementary, Harbor Point Elementary, Sage Hills Elementary, Saratoga Shores Elementary, and our beloved Springside Elementary. This study was initiated in response to continued growth in Saratoga Springs and the district’s upcoming reconfiguration.
Your voice is important in this process and our district leaders would like to hear from you. Please join us for a Boundary Study Open House at Springside Elementary this Wednesday, February 11th, from 6:00–7:00 PM in the gym. During this meeting, district representatives will present proposed boundary options and be available to answer questions.
Proposed boundary maps are expected to be available online soon, along with an email update from our district leaders. You are also invited to share input at the following district meetings held at the Alpine School District Office:
• February 10, 2026 – Board Meeting, 6:00 PM
• February 24, 2026 – Public Hearing, 6:05 PM
• March 10, 2026 – Board Meeting (anticipated final decision), 6:00 PM
To review maps, learn more, and provide feedback online, please visit:

We encourage all families to stay informed and participate as we plan for the future of Springside.
Warm regards,

Springside Elementary: This afternoon, a 3.5-magnitude earthquake occurred approximately four miles from Saratoga Springs in Utah County. The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the quake at 12:53 p.m. at a depth of 4.7 miles. All students are safe and school operations are continuing as normal.

Good morning Springside! Quick reminder that tomorrow is a teacher work day - no school!

Good morning Springside! We are excited to welcome everyone this evening to our Night at the Library event from 5-7pm! There will be activities/crafts in many classrooms and food trucks!

Utah Mammoth Comes to Springside!
Yesterday many of our students were able to experience some hockey magic with a group from the Utah Mammoth. They brought hockey sticks, goals, and other supplies and taught the students the basics of hockey. They donated these supplies to our school for our PE teacher to use with her classes.
Students will receive a bookmark today with a QR code. Families can scan the code and vote for Springside to get another visit from Utah Mammoth. (They've asked that we don't share the barcode online, so look for the bookmark to come home today). The students had a GREAT time! Thanks Mammoths!

This week is Springside's annual Tabitha's Way food drive. The student association has worked hard to create flyers and fun activities to get students involved. Our goal is to fill EIGHT large bins to donate to families in need! See the attached flyer for most needed items, however ALL donations are welcome and appreciated. The food drive will run through next Monday, February 2nd.

Our annual Night at the Library event is coming up this Friday! There will be activities/crafts in many classrooms and food trucks (details attached). This all-volunteer event is a fun night for families and students but we can't do it without your help! The PTA is in need of a few more volunteers to help with decorating and assisting teachers for a short time so they can go enjoy the activities with their own children. Please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090548A8AA28A6F85-61894937-night
If you are willing to decorate a hallway the theme is listed on the sign-up but volunteers would need to come up with the decorations and hang them on Friday (other PTA members will be around to assist with hanging). The school has butcher paper available for the decorations.
Please contact Kami Daniels with any questions: 801-879-3044

Good afternoon Springside! As the temperature has dipped this week, our playground has transformed into a small colony of pint-sized icicles during recess ❄️🧥. To keep everyone warm and comfortable outdoors, please make sure your child comes to school each day with a reliable winter coat. Thank you for helping us keep our students cozy and ready to learn!
