Our school is partnering with the City of Saratoga Springs for the annual 9/11 Day of Service. One of this year’s projects is creating Birthday Boxes for local families in need. These boxes ensure that every child in our community feels celebrated and included on their special day.
We are asking for your support in two ways:

Good morning Springside! We will be conducting a Lock Down Drill this morning at 10:00am.
The School Community Council (SCC) includes parents, teachers, students, and community members who work together to create the School Improvement Plan, Digital Citizenship Plan, and School Land Trust Plan. Please use the link below to vote for nominated Springside community members to serve as Parent Representatives for a two-year term starting in the 2025–2026 school year. We are so excited to start our school choir! Signing up for choir is optional. If your child is interested in participating in choir, please review the information below.
What to know:
Choir is for 3rd-6th graders.
Choir rehearsals will begin on 9/3.
Rehearsals will be Wednesday mornings from 8:00AM-8:45AM.
There will be a Westlake Cluster Concert on 10/28 at 6:30PM, a Winter Concert on 12/4 at 6:30PM and another concert in the spring TBD.
There is a $20 cost to cover the cost of T-shirts and music.
If your child would like to participate in choir, please fill out this google form and pay via myschoolfees.com by 9/1.

Join us for a spirit day at Handel's ice cream! Handel's will donate a portion of the proceeds to our school during these hours.

Tomorrow is a very special day — it's the first day of Kindergarten at Springside Elementary! We are so excited to welcome our newest students to the school and can’t wait to meet them!
As we begin Kindergarten, please note that our afternoon pick-up procedures will be slightly different to ensure everything runs safely and smoothly.
🔸 Only Kindergarten parents with official Kinder dismissal cards will be allowed to use the Kindergarten pick-up line.
🔸 If you have older students at Springside, please plan for them to pick up their Kindergarten sibling directly from the Kinder teacher and then head to the front of the school - your regular family pick-up spot. We want to try to elevate congestion at the Kinder pickup zone.
We appreciate your support and flexibility as we work to make dismissal safe and efficient for everyone.

Elections for the Springside Elementary School Community Council will be held on August 27th. If you are interested in serving on the council and contributing to the decision-making process at our school, we encourage you to reach out before the election date to place your name on the ballot.

Children may ride bicycles, scooters, or skateboards to school. Upon arrival at school grounds, students must walk their bikes, scooters, or skateboards. Students should remember to always walk their bikes, scooters, or skateboards when crossing the street and to use crosswalks. We ask that students please wear a helmet for safety.

Please refer to the map for pick up and drop off expectations. Student safety is our number one priority. Please be alert when driving in our parking lots and pull throughs. If you need to get out of your vehicle, please use a parking space. Do not leave your car if you are in a pull though area during drop off and pick up.

Members of several local police agency SWAT teams will be using our school facility for scheduled training purposes. This is part of our ongoing commitment to collaborate closely with law enforcement to ensure the safety and security of our students, staff, and school community. Please be assured that there is no cause for concern—this is a planned training exercise and not an emergency situation. Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we work together to maintain a safe learning environment.
